Research Fellow in Machine Learning Tools for Huntington’s Disease

Maitrei is a research Fellow based at the UCL Centre of Medical image Computing (CMIC) and UCL Huntington’s Disease (HD) centre. Her current research involves developing ensemble-based Machine Learning methods that can improve clinical predictive utility & cohort selection for clinical trials in HD. Additionally, she uses her background in behavioural genetics & evolutionary computation to understand ontogeny of neurodegeneration and cognitive divergence in HD. She has also been awarded the UCL-IHE Impact Fellowship 2021-22. She holds a PhD (Neural & Evolutionary Computation), M.Eng (Computer science) & B.Eng (Electrical Engineering) degrees.
